Many congratulations to Kenji Lim, winner of the ALL2015 £1000 award for a significant new work to be displayed on the Anglia Ruskin University campus. Judges Chris Owen (Head of Art at ARU), Malavika Anderson (Cambridge Festival of Ideas), Dr Veronique Chance (MA course leader at ARU) and Robert Good and Rebecca Ilett from ALL were unanimous in awarding Kenji the prize. Kenji will be at ARU every day throughout ALL to reveal the fairy tale at the base of the installation. Rebecca’s Road Trip – Part 1
An absolutely wonderful day with Rebecca, Claire, Sara, Kenji, Josepa, Alison and Teresa as we went off in search of our ALL2015 Satellites. The weather was perfect and we were not disappointed! So much great work to see. We started at the Sidgwick Site and found work by Abi Spendlove, Collective Investigations, Rachel Wooller, Aga and Sean, Rhiannon Williams, plus Mute Melodies from two years ago by Christine Kettaneh which is still in situ. On Your Bike
Thanks to everyone who made Showtime! such an enjoyable event – we had some fantastic performances and a lot of fun. Jonnie Howard was once again behind the lens and we can’t wait to share his latest highlights video soon. In the meantime, its time to get on your bike, trike, hoverboard or unicycle and go and find our wonderful Satellite works around town. We’ve got some very intriguing and rewarding installations for you this year, including tapestry, neon, stone carving, and flags.
