In an exciting new departure, the youngest artists taking part in ALL this year are from the Reception Class at Spinney Primary School. Facilitated by lead artist Deb Wilenski and supported by Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination, the pupils have been exploring local woodland and documenting their encounters. True to the spirit of ALL – in which art, text and place collide – the resulting exhibition This tree is bigger than earth uses image and language to articulate some of the ways in which children perceive a small, wild, tangled part of Cambridge. I’m very much looking forward to it – should make for a fascinating juxtaposition alongside our other artists and their work!
This tree is bigger than earth is part of the ALL programme of events and takes place on Friday 24th October 5-6pm. The event is free, but you will need to book. Click here for full details.
Our full programme of events will be published shortly.
