Latency Correspondence Departure, Gallery 9

NH
Station Road Park, Latency 1, 2017
Acrylic on Canvas

This work is intended to explore elements of translation theory such as latency fidelity, equivalence correspondence and departure.

The form is visual language through painting and the content is a personal polyphonic symphony of aesthetic historical and contemporary voices.

Subjects are derived from individual and public contexts; such as personal visual reference, analysis and reflection and received poetic writing.

The display creates an opportunity for new narrative readings. Each work or combination of works is a place or juncture where meaning can be lost or found as an act of translating between media subject and viewer.
