Called in to see artist and ALL logo designer Peter Sutton‘s latest exhibition at Nord over the weekend. Some extremely desirable and beautiful paintings on show and well worth a visit. Was also nice to meet micro-baker Alison McTaggart as well and discuss matters both artistic and culinary – am now wondering how we might incorporate some handmade bread into ALL this year. Mindful of the opportunity for a pic for our Photo Diary, Peter dutifully posed in front of his paintings and obliged with his ‘relaxed and spontaneous’ look. 🙂 But what was being said?

Bank Street Arts, Sheffield is well worth a visit. As an independent art space that focuses on intersections between art, performance and experimental writing, they have been very supportive of ALL and a number of artists associated with Bank Street Arts have exhibited with us, including last year Katya Robin, Bryan Eccleshall, Rachel Smith, Madeleine Walton and Helen Frank. This year we are looking forward to seeing work by HMR Collective which will be at the English Faculty Library on the Sidgwick Site. In the meantime, catch the latest show ‘CUT’, curated by Madeleine Walton and which includes a desperately disintegrating (but rather mesmerising) Cheesemouse…
Snap Happy
Check out our new ALL2014 Photo Diary, where we will be posting a partial pictorial portfolio over the coming months. So far we have yet to record our first ALL selfie (or indeed a group ‘Ussie’, as I believe the new terminology has it), although we do have a very charming picture of Rebecca Ilett and Mocksim celebrating Christmas in Spring at the Hunt and Darton cafe.
