Good morning and welcome to Cambridge today to magnetologist(?) and soon-to-be radio personality Alban Low, who is here today to research his Blue Plaque Walk. Alban is inviting requests for your very own taste of immortality: supply him with some details and you may find yourself on a magnetic Blue Plaque, which he will place along the route in October. For more about Blue Plaques in Cambridge and Alban’s project, plus details of how to apply check out Alban’s website, or tune in to the Sue Dougan show on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire today to hear more!
Future Perfect
I’m very much looking forward to seeing ‘Future Perfect’, a series of photomontages by Amelia Critchlow around Cambridge this October. As our hunt for locations continues, we have so far managed to place work in a sports centre, an antiques shop and a primary school amongst many others. Thank you to everyone who has so far said ‘Yes’, we will be publishing a full list of locations and artworks in due course. In the meantime, we are still looking for several more venues, so if you know of a space in Cambridge that might like to host an artwork, do contact us…
Colonic Relief
The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed that we have a brand new, super-delectable logo and banner for this year. As part of this lovely upgrade, we decided to streamline our naming conventions. So, with many thanks to everyone who diligently managed to insert colons and lowercase lettering in all the right places, we are pleased to say that A:L:L and art:language:location are being replaced by ALL and Art Language Location. Bear with us whilst this delicate surgery takes place – once complete, we have been assured that irritable colon syndrome will be a thing of the past. Try it yourself!
